Lightspeed Points Program Terms and Conditions

These Lightspeed Official Promotion Rules ("the Rules") apply to all promotions run by Lightspeed Research Limited ("Lightspeed"), including, but not limited to, the Points Program and quarterly prize draws, as promoted on Lightspeed's website ("the Website").

Lightspeed reserves the right to modify the Rules, so it is important that you check them periodically. Continued use of the Website and participation in surveys is considered acceptance of the Rules, and any modified terms included therein.

Part A - Points Program

Part B - Quarterly Prize Draws.

PART A - POINTS PROGRAM

1    ACCUMULATION OF LIGHTSPEED POINTS

1.1  Once you have joined the panel, Lightspeed Points will be awarded when you undertake various online activities on the Website.

1.2  The activities that will allow you to earn Lightspeed Points may change from time to time, at Lightspeed's discretion. These activities will be clearly set out on the Website or within these Rules.

1.3  Currently, you can earn points by completing most surveys. Where a survey does not carry Lightspeed Points, this will be clearly stated on the Website at the beginning of the survey.

1.4  Lightspeed reserves the right to suspend, terminate, revalue or modify without notice to you, all or part of the Points Program value structure and offers. Lightspeed reserves the right to adjudicate all Lightspeed points discrepancies at its sole discretion, and you agree to abide with the decision of any adjudication. In the event that the Points Program is terminated, you will be notified and given 2 months in which to redeem your points.

1.5  Lightspeed Points will be posted to your account no later than 30 days following survey completion or entry into a prize draw and will be available for redemption as soon as they are posted to your account. Lightspeed takes reasonable care to ensure Lightspeed Points are accurately deposited in your account. However you are responsible for ensuring that your Lightspeed Points are correctly deposited and you should notify Lightspeed within 2 months of completion of a survey or prize draw if Lightspeed Points have not been correctly posted to your account. Lightspeed shall not be liable for any losses suffered due to any errors in the posting of points.

2    LIGHTSPEED POINTS VALUES

2.1  You will receive a certain number of Lightspeed Points per completed activity (dependent on complexity). The number of Lightspeed Points available for any activity will be stated on the Website.

2.2  You can view your total number of Lightspeed Points online by visiting the Members' Page of the Website. Lightspeed Points expire after two years.

2.3  Lightspeed Points are personal to you and are not transferable without Lightspeed's written permission. They are not considered to be property, and as such, you cannot sell, transfer or assign your Points to any other person without Lightspeed's written permission.

3    REDEMPTION OF LIGHTSPEED POINTS

3.1  You can only redeem Lightspeed Points if you have a minimum of 115 points in your account, and your account is in good standing.

3.2  All Lightspeed Points must be redeemed online. To redeem Points, you should go to the Members' page and click on "Lightspeed Points Account". Then, click on the "Go" button. Other Lightspeed redemption methods may be added or substituted in the future at Lightspeed's sole discretion.

3.3  Each Lightspeed Point currently has a value of 1 pence. Lightspeed reserves the right to change this value without notice, and any change will be set out on the Website or within these Rules.

3.4  Lightspeed Points can currently be redeemed for gift vouchers.

3.5  The Lightspeed Points can be redeemed at http://uk.lightspeedpanel.com. Further details of this arrangement can be found on the Website. Lightspeed reserves the right to change merchandise and gift certificate offers on the Website at its discretion and without notice. You acknowledge that Lightspeed is not responsible for any actions taken by Perks or any partners in connection with the redemption of Lightspeed Points.

3.6  The value of your selected reward may not exceed the number of Lightspeed Points in your account. However, you may select a reward of lesser value. Any unused Lightspeed Points will remain in your account for future use and once you redeem Lightspeed Points, the appropriate number of Points will be deducted from your account.

3.7  Lightspeed Points are non-negotiable and may only be redeemed for the rewards stated above, or on the Website.

3.8  Rewards received as a result of redemption of Lightspeed Points cannot be exchanged, returned or redeemed for cash value.

3.9  The rewards pictured on the Website may not necessarily reflect the exact colours or models of actual rewards, due to printing variations and manufacturers' updates.

3.10 Lightspeed reserves the right to substitute any reward for a reward of equivalent or higher value if a reward is not available.

4    ADMINISTRATION OF REWARDS

4.1  Lightspeed reserves the right to appoint a third party to administer its Points Program and rewards. You should read the PRIVACY POLICY regarding information that will be passed to third parties in order to administer the Points Program and rewards.

4.2  Lightspeed does not accept any liability for any losses suffered by you due to any error or omission by the third party in the administration or delivery of rewards.

7    PROMOTION PERIOD

7.1  The first draw will take place on 10 July 2006. Thereafter, a draw will take place on a rolling quarterly basis on or around 10 November, January, April and July of each year. Lightspeed will randomly select 11 top cash prizewinners from the electronic entries submitted between the first day and 11:59pm on the last day of the preceding month.

7.2  Notification that the promotion period is to end will be given by e-mail at least three months prior to the last prize draw.

7.3  All entries by online participation must be received by 11:59pm on the last day of the month preceding the draw. Where entries are received for completing a survey, Quick Match, Mini Poll or other online activity, that activity must be completed by 11:59pm on the night preceding the prize draw.

8    PRIZES

8.1  The prizes will be awarded as follows, subject to paragraph 8.5 below:

      (a)  One quarterly first prize of £1,000 in BACS or personal cheque

      (b)  Two quarterly special prizes of £500 in BACS or personal cheques

8.4  Prizes are personal to the participant and can only be transferred or assigned with Lightspeed's written permission.

8.6  If the prize draw involves children then the prizes will be children orientated and will not involve the payment of any cash sum.

9    NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS

9.1  If you have won, you will be notified by e-mail within 28 days of the prize draw.

9.2  To claim the prize, you must reply to the notification within 28 days of date that the notification was sent.

9.3  If after one month no such e-mail is received, the prize will be awarded by way of additional entries into the following quarter's prize draw. The entries will be awarded on the basis of one entry for every £2 value of the prize that would have been awarded. An award of entries will extinguish any right to claim any other prize for the winning quarter.

9.4  If you have won, you may be required to provide Lightspeed with proof that you are the authorised account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry. Details of prize winners are available on the Website or by writing to Lightspeed enclosing a stamped self-addressed envelope.
